Pretty princess pencil box

Made a custom pencil box with embroidery name on it. It was a birthday present from an aunt to her niece for her birthday present.

This is the view from in front.

View from above with lovely pink zipper.

View from the side. I forgot to add a handle.

The one below was a little bit bigger. So I decided to make another one so that she can use it for putting her stationery to bring it to school. She loves it!

Lotsa pockets diaper bag

It has been a while since I last made a diaper bag. This one is custom made for my ex-schoolmate. She chose the fabric theme ballerina in brown/khaki.

It has 2 large side pockets

5 pockets interior (2 sides + 2 small pockets + 1 large pocket)

2 front pockets on both side of the bag and zipper closure

Here's another diaper bag made from green polkadots fabric

2 side pockets and 4 exterior pockets on the front of the bag

This one has 6 pockets for the interior. Zipper closure.

The measurements for the finished diaper bag :-
14 1/2" across the top opening when folded on the sides
19" wide across the top opening when un-folded
14" wide across the botton base
11" from top to bottom in the middle
6" from front to back (gusset)
Straps long enough to carry on the shoulders
All measurements are approximate

tutorial : twirly girly skirt

This is the tutorial for twirly girly skirt. the size is 4T-6T.

Since this is the first time im doing a tutorial, i hope its fully understandable, simple and clear. Have fun making it and i'll be please to see what you come up with!

First you will need to cut :
8 pieces of fabrics from the pattern piece for bottom part of the skirt (front and back)
2 pieces of 17" x 9" for upper part of the skirt (front and back)
2 pieces of 3"x 45" for the ruffled edges

* As for the pattern piece, you can download it here
[this pattern is for PERSONAL use only]

All measurements are approximate.

Sew the pattern pieces Right sides facing and sew all 4 pieces in a row. Do the same with the other 4 pieces.

Gather the long strip (up to 27" long) to make the ruffles and sew it Right sides facing the 4 pattern pieces that you have sewn earlier. Do the same with the other 4 pieces and press the seam allowances up. Now you have the front and back of the skirt pattern pieces sewn with the ruffled edges. Hem the end of the ruffles to neaten it up.

With Right sides together, align the rectangle for the top part with the bottom part (4 pieces pattern pieces) and sew them up as well as the sides. Finish it up with an elastic band.

There you'll have your little one twirling around in her new skirt.
Comments are most welcome!
